Jim Corbett National Park welcomes visitors from mid-November to mid-June, and each season delivers a different kind of wildlife and nature experience. Choosing the right time depends on what you wish to see and experience.
Winter Season (November – February)
This season is known for its cool climate and clear skies, making safaris comfortable and enjoyable. Early morning safaris feel refreshing, and it’s an excellent time for birdwatching, especially migratory species. Wildlife sightings are steady, and forest landscapes remain lush and green.
Summer Season (March – June)
Summer is considered the best time for tiger sightings. As temperatures rise, animals frequently visit water sources, increasing visibility during safaris. Though afternoons can be warm, morning and evening safaris offer thrilling wildlife encounters and great opportunities for photography.
Monsoon Season (July – September)
During monsoon, most core safari zones remain closed to protect forest tracks and wildlife. However, selected buffer zones like Jhirna and Dhela may operate on limited schedules.
